PDPA Compliance
Our commitment to protecting your personal data under Singapore law
Sentinel Assure Solutions Pte Ltd is fully committed to compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) of Singapore. As a licensed TradeNet declaration agent handling sensitive business and shipment data, we recognise the critical importance of data protection and privacy.
Our Data Protection Obligations
Under the PDPA, we are responsible for fulfilling the following obligations:
We obtain your consent before collecting, using, or disclosing your personal data, except where permitted or required by law.
We collect personal data only for reasonable purposes directly related to our TradeNet declaration services, and we notify you of these purposes at the time of collection.
We inform you of the purposes for which your data is collected, used, and disclosed before or at the time of collection.
We provide you with access to your personal data upon request and correct any inaccuracies in a timely manner.
We make reasonable efforts to ensure that your personal data is accurate and complete, especially when it may be used to make decisions that affect you.
We implement robust security measures — including access controls, encryption, and secure cloud storage — to protect your personal data from unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, or similar risks.
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law (typically 7 years for customs and tax records). After this period, data is securely deleted or anonymised.
We ensure that any transfer of personal data outside Singapore is subject to comparable protection standards, in accordance with PDPA requirements.
We respect the DNC Registry and do not send marketing messages to Singapore telephone numbers registered on the DNC Registry without checking the registry first.
