Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about TradeNet permits and our services
Standard TradeNet permits are typically processed within 1–2 working hours during business hours (Monday–Friday, 9am–6pm). Urgent processing is available within 1 hour for an additional SGD 100. Processing times may vary depending on permit complexity and whether all required documents are submitted correctly.
Required documents vary by permit type. Common documents include:
- Commercial invoice
- Packing list
- Bill of lading or airway bill
- Import licence (if applicable for controlled goods)
- Certificate of origin (if claiming preferential tariff)
Our online application system guides you through the exact document requirements based on your selected permit type and HS code.
INP (Import Non-Payment) is used for goods entering Singapore without duty or GST payment — typically for goods under schemes like GST relief, temporary import, or re-export within 90 days.
IPD (Import Duty) is for dutiable goods that require customs duty to be paid upon import. The correct permit type depends on the nature of your goods and their HS code classification.

OUT (Export Non-Payment) is for goods leaving Singapore without duty or GST payment. This is the most common export permit.
OEX (Export GST) is for goods that are subject to GST upon export, typically for certain categories of exports under specific conditions. Most standard exports use the OUT permit type.
